Manufacturing Process
- Concept and Design: First, artists conceive the idea for the figurine and sketch the product. A master mould is sculpted using wax or clay, followed by the creation of a rubber mould from the master model.
- Casting: Polyresin is poured into the mould to form the shape and is left to harden. Ceramic slip is dried, removed from the mould, and fired in a kiln. Once hardened, the figure is demoulded from the mould.
- Surface Preparation: Seam lines and imperfections are removed using tools and sandpaper. A base colour is then hand-painted onto the object.
- Painting and Decoration: The product is coloured and detailed with intricate patterns. Fabric textures are added where required. Elements such as eyes, beak, and flowers are etched, and multiple colour layers are applied for depth and richness.
- Finishing: A protective varnish is applied to enhance durability and shine. Each piece is then carefully inspected for paint inconsistencies and defects.
