Manufacturing Process
- Concept and Design: First, artists conceived the idea for the figurine and sketched the product. The master mould for the figurine is sculpted using wax or clay. Then, a rubber mould is created from the master model.
- Casting: Polyresin is poured into the mould to form the shape and left to harden. Ceramic slip is then dried, removed from the mould, and fired in the kiln. After that, it is demoulded, meaning the hardened figure is removed from the mould.
- Surface Preparation: Tools and sandpaper are used to remove seam lines and imperfections. The base colour is then hand-painted onto the object.
- Painting and Decoration: The product is coloured, and intricate patterns are etched onto its surface. Fabric texture is added to enhance detail using the textured mould.
- Finishing: A varnish is applied to enhance durability and shine. Each piece is thoroughly checked for paint inconsistencies and defects.
