Manufacturing Process
- Selection of raw material: Copper sheets/ingots are selected for the tank and thickness of raw material is taken based on its weight.
- Melting and rolling: Ingots are burned in furnace and then molten copper is poured into molds to make slabs. Slabs are later rolled into sheets of required thickness.
- Cutting and Blanking: Copper sheets are cut into blanks sized as per design of bottle. Blanks are used for making tank neck and body.
- Neck forming & Spinning: Spinning machine is used to draw blanks into cylindrical shape. Annealing is used to ensure there are no cracks in metal.
- Threading: Neck is used to make precision die. CNC machine is used to make threads.
- Manufacturing of cap: Lid is formed of metal to match the neck of the copper tank.
- Annealing & Surface finishing: Copper tank is heat treated to improve durability or relieve stress.
Note
- Don’t keep acidic drinks in copper: Acidic liquids react with copper and can make it toxic for consumption.
- Don’t store water for too long: Ideally 6 to 8 hours of storage is sufficient.
- Clean with lemon and salt: Use a mix of lemon and salt to retain its natural shine.
- Avoid harsh soaps: Do not use harsh soaps for washing the bottle.
- Dry after washing: Always dry to avoid water stains and polish occasionally to retain shine.
