Icon Features

  • Health benefits: Kansa is made from tin and copper, which, in Ayurveda, are believed to aid digestion and reduce acidity.
  • Purity of flavour: Kansa is a neutral metal, so it doesn’t leave a metallic aftertaste and helps preserve the natural flavour of food.
  • Long-lasting: Kansa is a strong, corrosion-resistant material that maintains its traditional charm, making it ideal for daily use.
  • Eco friendly: Kansa is a recyclable and sustainable alloy made from copper and tin—an ideal alternative to plastic or chemical-laden tableware.
  • Traditional design: This Kansa set adds rustic charm and elegance to your dining experience.
  • Gifting option: A perfect gift choice for weddings, anniversaries, festivals, and housewarmings.

Icon Manufacturing Process

  • Preparation of Alloy and Melting: Kansa is made using copper and tin. The metals are melted in an induction furnace with medium-frequency induction heating, ensuring uniform heat and fewer impurities. Once fully molten, the alloy is mixed thoroughly and its composition verified before casting.
  • Casting: The molten Kansa is poured into preheated metal moulds using gravity or die-casting methods to form the product. After cooling, the cast is removed and prepared for further processing.
  • Shaping and Machining: The rough casting is reshaped using hammers. Accurate measurements are taken, and a machining centre is used to finalize the product, especially for massage tools.
  • Finishing: Abrasive tools are used to smoothen the surface, followed by buffing for a clean, polished finish.
  • Cleaning/Quality Control: Ultrasonic cleaners remove residues in the final cleaning phase. Each item is inspected for accuracy and food safety compliance during quality control.

Icon Note

  • Hand wash: Clean Kansa products with mild dish soap and a soft sponge. Avoid harsh detergents, and do not use a dishwasher to prevent damage to the natural finish.
  • Dry after washing: Use a soft cloth to dry Kansa products after washing to prevent water spots and maintain their natural sheen.
  • Occasional Polish: Over time, Kansa develops a natural patina. Polish it with a mixture of tamarind paste and flour to restore its shine.
  • Avoid prolonged contact with acidic foods: Acidic foods like lemon juice, tomatoes, and tamarind can react with Kansa. Serve them briefly and clean the product immediately afterward.
