Features
- Health benefits: Kansa is made from copper (80%) and tin (20%), which, in Ayurveda, are believed to support digestion and reduce acidity.
- Purity of flavour: As a neutral metal, Kansa is less reactive and doesn’t leave a metallic aftertaste, helping preserve the natural flavour of food.
- Long-lasting: Kansa is a durable and corrosion-resistant material, making it ideal for everyday use while maintaining its traditional charm.
- Eco-friendly: Made from recyclable copper and tin, Kansa is a sustainable alternative to plastic and chemically treated tableware.
- Traditional design: This set brings rustic charm and timeless elegance to your dining table.
- Gifting option: A thoughtful and elegant gift choice for weddings, anniversaries, festivals, and housewarming celebrations.
Manufacturing Process
- Preparation of Alloy and Melting: Kansa is created by melting copper and tin in an induction furnace using medium-frequency heating. This ensures uniform heating and reduced impurities. Once fully molten, the alloy is thoroughly mixed and its composition is verified before casting.
- Casting: The molten Kansa is poured into preheated metal molds using gravity or die-casting methods to form the desired shape. After cooling, the casting is removed for further processing.
- Shaping and Machining: The rough casting is reshaped using hammers, followed by precision machining to achieve accurate dimensions and the final product form.
- Finishing: Abrasive tools are used to smooth the surface, followed by buffing to achieve a clean, polished finish.
- Cleaning / Quality Control: Ultrasonic cleaners are used to remove any residues. Each piece then undergoes a quality check to ensure accuracy and compliance with food safety standards.
