Manufacturing Process
- Concept and Design: First, artists conceived the idea for the figurine and sketched the product. The master mould for the figurine is sculpted using wax or clay. Then, the rubber mould is created from the master model.
- Casting: After that, polyresin is poured into the mould to set shape and kept until it hardens in the mould. Ceramic slip is then dried, removed from the mould, and fired in the kiln. After that, it is demoulded, which means the hardened figure is removed from the mould.
- Surface Preparation: Then, using tools and sandpaper, seam lines and imperfections are removed from the object. The base colour is then hand-painted on the object.
- Painting and Decoration: Then, the product is coloured, and intricate patterns are etched on the surface of the object. Fabric texture will be added to the textured mould.
- Finishing: Finally, varnish is applied to enhance durability and shine. Then each piece is checked for paint inconsistencies and defects.
